There were some things that caught my interest that I am going to start trying in my classroom. The sitting arrangement that was made before the start of the class was a good way to provide help and support to those of us that are not very familiar with technology. Personally I felt accommodated. the web presenters provided me with great teaching resourecs and I plan to share these websites with my teachers at school. At the end of the presentations I felt like Iwas confident enough to use internet as a teaching resource. For sometime I have, never figured how people draw pictures using a computer until inspiration 7.5 was introduced to me during this class, I found this to be an amazing tool. I have already asked my direct to purchase the software for the school. None of my collegues at school know much about inspiration 7.3Out of this class, I have started imagining about so many things that I can do using technology, one of the things is creating blogs for teachers and students. I believe at the end of this course, I will be able to use a variety of technology tools in my classroom. Technolgy enhances learning in a variety of ways 1. Different students have different needs, some of these needs may be better met by using technology to illustrate the intended learning concept2. technology as a tool is used to express our thoughts and at the same time rises our curiosity in different ways3. storage and retrieval of information, this makes our work as teachers pretty easy.In previous years teaching experience, I have never used technolgy in classrom, but since I started taking this class, I used internet as a teaching resource this week and I found out that there are some of my students that were interested in learning than ever before. After the second class, I asked my students to visit the websites that were provided in class by my classmates and I witnessd that my students were excited about this. I now approach teaching with a lot of enthusiasm.First blogs provide a way of community building in our class. The experiences shared by my classmates on their blogs made me have an idea of who they are ,what they do, why they are taking this class and their general interests. One other thing i realised is the diversity in this. This provided an opportunity to all of us to share with our classmates our life experiences and expectations. If there is any better way than this, please let me know.

My name is John, was born and raised in kenya. I relocated to the US in 2004. Before I moved to this country, I was a high school teacher, teaching math and chemistry.
I currently teach in a charter school in minneapolis and my student grade levels are 7TH- 12TH. I am a graduate student in the university of minnesota in the department of education and human development taking curriculum and instruction in education science. Was particularly ineterested in this program to acquire technology skills and new teaching strategies that are focused in meeting student needs.

Since I moved in to this country, life has not been easy, settling down and getting a job with reasonable income has been an uphill task, deciding to go to school has not been easy either since I have a family that needs my support. But, my biggest concern is working in an environment where everybody else thinks you are different, this has been my graetes challenge trying to build relationships with people who feel you are different.
